Our EIS hands free cell phone kit for BMW 5 series year 1997 to 2003.

Bluetooth™ pairing on a E39 5 series sedan.

This kit provides integration of a Bluetooth™ enabled phone with the car’s stereo system for radio mute and use of the built in BMW cell phone speaker(s).  The BMW microphone is also utilized.  The steering wheel buttons work for answering a call and hanging up, as well as activating voice dial and volume control during a call.  The radio display indicates "PHONE" when a call is in progress or "WAIT" should you attempt to turn on the radio whilst a call is in progress (yes the system will work with the radio off or the car off, however you must turn on the ignition for the steering wheel buttons to work).  The phone can be set to automatically connect with the car upon starting the car and the interface and BMW electronics stay active and connected to your phone after you turn the car off for a few minutes to allow you to complete a call in progress.  We do not offer support for display of the calling number on the radio, etc. at this point. 

Our interface (these are hand built and programmed modules specifically for your model and build date) currently supports the Nokia CK-1W or the Sony Ericsson HCB-30 so you may choose which car kit will best integrate with your phone!  Everything is in the trunk and there are no wires to run! This module also offers the advantage that if you are leasing your car you can still use the Nokia or SE kit with another brand if you go away from BMW.  Installation time is about 45 minutes.  Although we designed this product to be self-installed, you may wish to take this to your local cell phone dealer/installer for assistance if you are uncomfortable.
